Who we are
This website is run by UpSense India, 273/5, Convent Rd, Mittapudur, Salem, Tamil Nadu 636016, India, with an office at 1023 E Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA. When this policy says “we”, it means UpSense. You can reach us at upsenseindia@gmail.com or +91 79042 68593.
What you give us
When you fill in a form, send a brief through Sensi, book a call or apply for a job, we receive what you type and attach:
- Your name, email address, phone number and company.
- Details about your project, budget and timeline.
- Files you choose to attach, such as a CV.
- The date and time you picked, if you book a call.
- If you send a brief through Sensi, a transcript of the answers you gave, so we do not ask you the same questions twice.
- If you ask Sensi a question it cannot answer from its own knowledge, the question itself (without your name) so we can improve its answers.
What is collected automatically
- Google Analytics, only if you allow it. We ask first. If you press Allow stats, Google Analytics uses cookies to record pages viewed, the device and browser, and an approximate location. If you press No thanks, or do not answer, analytics storage stays switched off.
- Simple counts. Our own server keeps daily totals of page views and button presses, such as how many people opened Sensi. These totals contain no names, emails or IP addresses.
- Error reports. If a script on a page fails, the error message and the page address are sent to us so we can fix it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records IP addresses and browser details for security and to stop abuse.
What stays in your browser
Some things are saved only on your device, in your browser's storage, and are not sent to us unless you submit a form: your light or dark theme, your sound, motion, text size and contrast choices, your analytics choice, your name if you told Sensi, an unsent brief and your conversation with Sensi (for this browser tab only), the secrets you have found, the pages you have visited on this site, and whether the intro has already played. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
How we use it
- To reply to you, prepare quotes and run the projects you hire us for.
- To consider job applications.
- To send you a confirmation of your message or booking.
- To understand which pages help visitors, and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure. Our spam check runs a small puzzle in your browser instead of tracking you.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of services to run this site. They handle data for us, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Hostinger, which hosts the website and its database.
- Google, for Google Analytics (only with your consent), for the email inbox where your messages arrive, and for Google Maps, which only loads if you press Show the map.
- Elementor Site Mailer, which delivers the emails the site sends, such as your confirmation.
- Anthropic, only if AI answers are switched on for Sensi: the question you type is sent to generate an answer. Without AI answers, Sensi works entirely from its own knowledge.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and briefs: as long as we are talking, and up to two years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client project and billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Job applications: up to twelve months, then deleted, unless you ask for longer or shorter.
- Analytics: according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, where we do not need to keep it by law;
- withdraw a consent you gave, such as for analytics;
- hear and resolve a complaint about how we handled your data.
Email upsenseindia@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy”. We will reply as soon as we can, and within the time the law allows. You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the question will appear again.
Security
The whole site uses HTTPS. Files you attach are stored in a private folder that cannot be opened from the web, and only the UpSense team can download them. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the software updated and access limited to the people who need it.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and job seekers. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
